Dallas Defeated by Twin Cities, 5-1

The Twin Cities Northmen picked up a win at Twin Cities Stadium, knocking off the Dallas Wranglers, 5-1. Starting pitcher Syed Farooqi played a key role in the triumph. Farooqi picked up the win for Twin Cities, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. With the win over Dallas, the Northmen improved to 71-82.
The Wranglers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Northmen going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Miguel Preciado came to the plate. Preciado hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 changeup from Dallas hurler Barry Gilmore. It was Preciado's 5th double of the year.
"Syed pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.
