Blockbuster Stadium featured a tense pitchers' duel.

Kansas City pitcher Tim McDonald did his part in helping his team beat the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 2-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Bob Crosby got the save, his 42nd in 48 chances.

The Bulls benefited from a costly error in the top of the ninth. With Mario Alva at bat and Kansas City leading 1-0, the Los Angeles miscue allowed Kansas City to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said McDonald after the game.

With the victory, the Bulls upped their record to 89-66.
