Wranglers Win at Home, 4-2

The Dallas Wranglers overcame a pretty good performance by Los Angeles left fielder Roger McCoy, beating the Pobladores, 4-2, at Bluff Park. McCoy was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Frank Dunn recorded the save, his 33rd. With the win, Dallas upped its record to 81-73.
The Wranglers got a big at-bat from left fielder Pat Simmons. For the game, Simmons went 2 for 4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 28th double of the season gave Dallas a 3-2 lead.
Simmons called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
