Bulls Squelch Dairymen Offense in Shutout Win
The Kansas City Bulls picked up a win at Independence Field, topping the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-0. On the mound for Kansas City was right-hander Waldo Hardaway. He played a principal role in the triumph. The 4th-place Bulls go to 79-75.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Hardaway was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Milwaukee trailing 2-0, Hardaway retired Gary Branan, who grounded out.
