Big Game from Adams Not Enough, Wranglers Lose
Rick Adams did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Dallas Wranglers from being beaten, 7-5, to the Twin Cities Northmen at Bluff Park. Adams was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Rick Lindstrom, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The win puts Twin Cities at 8-8.

Twin Cities used the timely hitting of Noland Lockhart to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Northmen on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments to the Twin Cities Daily News, Lockhart said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
