Seagulls Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
The San Francisco Seagulls beat the Los Angeles Pobladores, 3-2, at San Vicente Park. San Francisco third baseman Scott Wagner had the hot bat. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. Jeff Butler collected his 1st save. The Pobladores fall to 6-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 1974 season.

The Seagulls got a big at-bat from pitcher Jerry Patrick. For the game, Patrick threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave San Francisco a 2-0 lead.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Wagner.
