Wranglers Lose to Drillers, 7-5
|
A good performance from right fielder Jackie Frost helped the Houston Drillers defeat the Dallas Wranglers, 7-5. Frost went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Drillers. With the win, Houston pushed its record to 81-75.
Mark Sisson had a big grand slam home run for the Drillers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Houston trailing 5-2 and the bases loaded, he sized up a sinker from Ed Payne, who is tied for 5th in the ABL with a 2.04 ERA, and punished it. The result was his 35th home run of the season, which put the Drillers on top, 6-5.
"It was a solid team effort," said Frost after the game.
