Eagles Suffer One-Run Loss at Chicago
|
The Chicago Traders topped the Washington Eagles by a score of 3-2. Leading the way was first baseman John Seidler. Seidler was 2-2 with 2 singles and a walk for the Traders. Chicago pitcher Jose Mojica got the win. He's now 23-8. Bill John was tagged with the loss. The first-place Traders, at 94-62, lead the National Baseball League Western Division by 6 games.
With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the sixth, Seidler had a key at-bat for Chicago. With a runner on 3rd, Seidler hit a run-scoring single off Bill John, making the score 3-2, Traders.
"I like what I saw today," said Chicago manager Larry Link, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
