Ragsdale Finds Groove in 6-1 Triumph
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of New York fans at Queens Field.
New York used a superb performance from starting pitcher Pete Ragsdale to down the Baltimore Lords, 6-1. New York currently is in 5th place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division at 78-78.
The Lords had trouble solving Ragsdale, who surrendered 1 run on 2 hits over 9 innings.
"I had a good game plan," said Ragsdale. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," John Harris said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
