Industrials Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Eagles, 7-5
|
The rain did not keep Pittsburgh and Washington from finishing their game.
In the 7-5 Pittsburgh win over Washington, the impact of Keith MacPherson was substantial. MacPherson, who is tied for 4th in the NBL with a .960 OPS, was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The National Baseball League Eastern Division-leading Industrials are 94-62.
Poughkeepsie, New York-born Terry McClellan came through in the clutch. In the top of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Industrials trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Pittsburgh on top.
"Enjoyed this one," McClellan told the Pittsburgh Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
