The Los Angeles Pobladores rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Rick Beasley to a win, beating the Dallas Wranglers, 4-1, at Bluff Park. Beasley, now 11-12, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. With the win, the Pobladores have a record of 80-76.

With Los Angeles trailing 1-0 in the top of the second, Beasley hit a 2-run single off Dallas hurler Steve Coomes. It was the 8th hit of the season for Beasley and put his team ahead, 2-1.

"Rick had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Los Angeles manager Alex Wobbema.
