Kansas City Bats Silenced by Clabaugh
|
Fans at Independence Field witnessed the Cincinnati Packers blank the Kansas City Bulls, 6-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Joe Clabaugh. The Cincinnati right-hander allowed 7 hits in recording the shutout.
"Joe was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
This year, Clabaugh has 17 wins and 12 losses and a 4.82 ERA.
