Traders Pick Up 5-2 Win Against Milwaukee
|
The Chicago Traders picked up a win at Union Field, topping the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-2. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Bobby Peters. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Dairymen fall to 7-9 and continue their lackluster start in 1973.
Dave Lindsey went 1-3. He drove in 2 runs for Chicago. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Danny Guerra. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
After the game, Chicago manager Larry Link applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
