Blockbusters Earn Late Win
|
The Los Angeles Blockbusters and San Diego Captains played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
Los Angeles turned a good effort from starter Randy Medved into a win over the San Diego Captains at Blockbuster Stadium. The Blockbusters won the game, 3-2. In 8 innings, Medved surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was Tom Benson. He's now 24 for 32 in save chances.
Norm Parsons helped out the Los Angeles cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 2 walks.
