The Cleveland Bobcats did little to support starter Myron Baird against the Cincinnati Packers, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Packers, striking out 12 and surrendering 5 hits. The performance from Baird allowed Cleveland to escape with the 1-0 win, despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said, 'Myron, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Baird told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

His record this season is 16-10 in 35 starts and Baird has a 3.25 ERA.
