Wranglers Lose Big to Northmen, 12-1
Twin Cities right fielder Carl Jacobs made his presence felt in the 12-1 Northmen triumph over the Dallas Wranglers. Jacobs hit 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times. With the victory, the Northmen upped their record to 84-75.

With Twin Cities leading 8-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Jacobs came up to bat against Dallas pitcher Charlie Hickman. Jacobs hit a slider to center for a grand slam home run. His 16th home run of the season put the Northmen on top, 12-1.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager William Albrecht.
