Generals Suffer 4-2 Loss to Baltimore
|
Baltimore Lords starter Nate Summers hurled his team past the Atlanta Generals, 4-2. Summers got the win, improving to 13-13. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Duane Siudzinski, credited with the save, is now 7 for 10 in save opportunities.
Baltimore took a 4-1 lead on Brian Fitch's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Fitch hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Atlanta pitcher Scott Dubyak visibly frustrated.
"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Baltimore manager Steve Read. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
By defeating Atlanta, the last-place Lords improved to 72-87.
