Simmons Helps Detroit Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Detroit Wolverines soundly defeated the Toronto Hurons, 12-3, at Wolverine Field. Duane Simmons, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in bases on balls with 106, let his bat do the talking. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Detroit. The winning pitcher was Larry Black. He's now 20-8. He went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits for the Wolverines. With the win, Detroit upped its record to 96-63.
