Bobcats Improve to 88-72 with 6-2 Win
|
Cleveland turned a good effort from starter Myron Baird into a win over the Cincinnati Packers at Roman Arena. The Bobcats won the game, 6-2. The victory gives the Bobcats a record of 88-72.
Benito Olivas had a big 2-run home run for the Bobcats in the top of the first inning. With Cleveland leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Kenny Foster, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1972 draft, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Bobcats on top, 3-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Baird.
