Knickerbockers Squelch Bobcats Offense in Shutout Win
|
In a tight tilt between the New York Knickerbockers and the Cleveland Bobcats, Ray Schifsky was the deciding factor. The New York right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. The victory gives New York a record of 87-74.
With New York leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Schifsky hit a fastball from Rick Tomlinson for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Knickerbockers ahead, 2-0.
"I try to not think too much," said Schifsky.
