Dallas registered a win at Bluff Park by beating the San Francisco Seagulls, 4-3. Pitcher Barry Gilmore was one reason why the Wranglers triumphed. Gilmore, who won the Royal Ricketts Award in 1969, went the distance for Dallas. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. Dallas raised its record to 81-80 with the win.

Gilmore broke a deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly, putting Dallas up, 4-3.

"Barry's good, period," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
