Pobladores Beat Seagulls, 6-1
|
Mario Abreu was instrumental in his team's 6-1 triumph over the San Francisco Seagulls. The left fielder was 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Los Angeles Pobladores. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Los Angeles.
Chuck Gunter came through with a big-time hit for Los Angeles. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I felt good up there," said Gunter. "I saw the ball well."
