The rain came, as predicted, but the Atlanta Generals and Twin Cities Northmen were able to complete their ballgame.

The Atlanta Generals picked up a win at Twin Cities Stadium, courtesy of Bruce Owen. The right-hander helped his team stop the Twin Cities Northmen, 3-1. Ron Winder collected his 24th save.

Kyle Devine came through with a big-time hit for Atlanta. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Bruce really held it together well," said Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie.

Atlanta now sits at 88-73, while Twin Cities falls to 72-89.
