Gaultney Silences New York Bats
Dave Gaultney, who is tied for 8th in the NBL with a 2.44 ERA, pitched a gem in leading Brooklyn to a 2-0 victory over the New York Knickerbockers. Bob Hill was called on to finish, recording his 38th save. The Bluebirds bumped their record to 86-76 with this win.

Gaultney dominated for Brooklyn, raising his record to 16-5. New York hitters had few good at-bats against the left-hander, who scattered 3 hits over 8 innings while striking out 5.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Gaultney.
