The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at Puget Field, dropping the Seattle Emeralds, 5-2. Charlie Sokol, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in wins with 16, was the difference-maker. Sokol, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1962, went the distance for Dallas. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. The win boosted Dallas to 83-79.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Steve Walp? The Dallas right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wranglers on top, 3-2. For the game, Walp had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
