Jerry Sullivan left his imprint on the 4-3 Montreal win against the Toronto Hurons. Sullivan, who finished 5th in the ABL in runs with 100 in 1971, went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Oscar Rodela. His record now stands at 17-3. The right-hander went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Habitants. Today's win puts Montreal at 85-77, while Toronto falls to 75-87.

Had Don Hill not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Hill hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Habitants.

Sullivan called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
