Alexander Silences Kansas City, 6-0
|
Dave Alexander kept the Kansas City Bulls hitters from doing much damage at Monument Field.
Kansas City could only muster 5 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Alexander, who controlled them throughout the game. Washington won the contest, 6-0. Alexander added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Alexander told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
