Baltimore Slaps 6-1 Loss on Toronto
The Baltimore Lords downed the Toronto Hurons, 6-1, at Seton Hill Stadium. Stellar pitching by John Fredrick had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who finished 3rd in the ABL in wins with 18 in 1967, handcuffed his opponent all game. So far, the 1976 season has been disappointing for Toronto, now 6-11.

Baltimore shortstop Mike Caito contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a splitter to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Lords ahead, 2-0.

Caito called the win "a collective effort."
