Terriers Drop Contest, 3-0, to Montreal
|
Montreal and Boston duked it out and the Habitants came out victorious.
In a tight tilt between the Montreal Habitants and the Boston Terriers, Bob Schar was the deciding factor. The Montreal left-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. The save went to Hervé Lelièvre, his 1st this season.
Les Fitzsimmons had a direct impact on the outcome. Fitzsimmons contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Montreal up, 2-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Montreal skipper Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
The Terriers, now 5-12, continue their sluggish start.
