Pardoe Now 2-2 Following 3-0 Win
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Lords beat the Empires.
The Baltimore Lords used a great performance from 1965 Rookie of the Year Award winner John Pardoe to beat the New York Empires, 3-0, at Seton Hill Stadium. Denny Boyd earned the save, his 3rd.
Pardoe yielded no runs on 4 hits over 8.2 innings for the Lords. For the season, Pardoe has a record of 2-2 with 23 strikeouts.
Pardoe said his team "played with focus."
The Empires fall to 7-10 and continue their sputtering start to the 1970 season.
