Getting a good performance from first baseman Duane Kennedy, the Los Angeles Blockbusters defeated the St. Louis Explorers, 7-3. Kennedy was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Blockbusters. St. Louis is 11-6 after the loss.

Had Roger Adair not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Adair hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Blockbusters.
