Chicago Traders starter Marty Arnold pitched a strong game against the Milwaukee Dairymen at Union Field, leading the Traders to victory, 4-3. Chip Littlejohn earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The Dairymen fall to 7-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 1968 season.

Bob Muller, who is tied for 8th in the NBL in triples with 1, came through for Chicago with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. The center fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 1 run batted in.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Arnold.
