Cleveland Bobcats starter Roger Scherf turned a whale of an effort into a win over the Kansas City Bulls. The final score was 2-1, Cleveland. Cleveland goes to 12-5 with the win.

The Bobcats got a big at-bat from left fielder Greg Clement. For the game, Clement went 1-2 with a triple and was hit by a pitch. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Cleveland a 1-0 lead.

"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Kansas City manager DD Martin.
