Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Seattle Emeralds take on the Dallas Wranglers.

The Dallas Wranglers stopped the Seattle Emeralds, 7-4, at Puget Field. The Wranglers got a big game from Terry McClellan, who was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win puts Dallas at 1-1.

McClellan had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 cutter from Dooley Brewer, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Wranglers a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for McClellan.

"They beat us fair and square," Seattle skipper Mark Velez said.
