Industrials Get Past Philadelphia, 4-3
|
The Pittsburgh Industrials scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Philadelphia Quakers at Allegheny Field. Pittsburgh pitcher John Fagan held his own in the contest. Now 3-15, the 1975 Quakers have sputtered in the early going.
The decisive blow was delivered by Rob Isenbarger in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Darrell Klug to win the game for Pittsburgh. The home crowd went nuts.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Fagan said.
