Houston took on San Francisco in front of a lively crowd.

The 8-3 Houston win over San Francisco was due largely to Tom Martucci. The Drillers shortstop went 3-4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win, Houston climbs to 8-9.

With Houston leading 4-3 in the top of the seventh, Martucci hit a 2-run single off San Francisco hurler Pete Ragsdale. It was the 11th hit of the season for Martucci and put his team ahead, 6-3.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Houston skipper Nate Nilsson.
