The Atlanta Generals grabbed a win, 7-6, over the Detroit Wolverines in 12 innings at Atlantic Station Field. Atlanta first baseman Ed Mika slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The setback makes the Wolverines 7-11.

The Generals got a clutch hit from right fielder Dale Decoste. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Generals.

"There's no quit in this team," said Generals manager Philipe Yazzie.
