Hurons Drop 6-0 Decision
|
The New York Empires knocked off the Toronto Hurons, 6-0, in American Baseball League action at Queens Field. New York pitcher and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, native Danilo Molina had an outstanding performance. The win gives the Empires a record of 9-9.
Rick Lintner came through for New York when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike sinker to right-center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.
"I like the roll we're on," said New York manager Jose Placeholder.
