Traders Trip Dairymen, 3-2, in Extra Innings
The Chicago Traders picked up a win at Union Field, dropping the Milwaukee Dairymen, 3-2, in 11 innings. Larry Cox, who finished 2nd in the NBL in wins with 20 in 1970, was the difference-maker. Milwaukee is now 8-10.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Chicago shortstop Bobby Richter, facing Arnie Keilman, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Traders the 3-2 win.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Cox said in his postgame press conference.
