The Atlanta Generals downed the Boston Terriers, 11-3, at Atlantic Station Field. The Generals were led by Kyle Devine. Devine went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Gary Ovitt picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 4 in 8 innings. Boston is 0-2 after the loss.

With the clubs tied 3-3 in the bottom of the fifth and runners on 1st and 3rd, Atlanta sent Devine to the plate. He got a 2-2 fastball and hit a sacrifice fly, to put the Generals on top, 4-3.
