A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Chicago Traders and Los Angeles Blockbusters.
Getting an impressive start from Bobby Peters, Chicago beat Los Angeles by the score of 5-1. The Blockbusters, 8-11, continue their poor start to the 1976 campaign.
With Chicago leading 3-0 in the top of the sixth, Peters hit a 2-run single off Los Angeles hurler Fernando Lopez. It was the 2nd hit of the season for Peters and put his team ahead, 5-0.
"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Chicago manager Larry Link. "That's what Bobby is right now."
