Pitcher Ron Gordon was sensational for the Boston Terriers in his team's 5-1 triumph over the New York Empires. Gordon earned the win. The win gives Boston a record of 8-10.

Gordon earned the win to move to 2-1. In his 9-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 6 and walking 2. The right-hander allowed the Empires few scoring opportunities.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Gordon told the Boston News.
