Bill May left his imprint on the 11-7 Los Angeles win against the Denver Burros. May, who is tied for 3rd in the NBL in triples with 2, went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Denver, now 5-14, continues its tough start.

Had Ken Frederick not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Frederick hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Blockbusters.

"We got the victory," said May. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
