In a low-scoring contest between the Denver Burros and the Milwaukee Dairymen, Keith Williams, who finished 5th in the NBL in wins with 17 last year, proved to be the difference. The Denver right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Burros win. Williams yielded no runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-0. Frank Combs nailed down his 3rd save.

Williams had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second to put Denver in front, 2-0. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly off Milwaukee pitcher Ken Brown.

"Keith's a gamer," said Denver manager Clark Anderson. "Glad he's on our side."

At 14-4, the 1977 Burros have been excellent so far.
