Bobcats Topple Packers, 8-4, as MacPherson Shines
A 4-RBI performance from Keith MacPherson, who finished 5th in the NBL in OPS with .954 in 1975, helped the Cleveland Bobcats beat the Cincinnati Packers, 8-4. Paul Darch, credited with the win, is now 1-3. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 9 innings. The Packers fall to 7-11 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 1977 season.

Cleveland used the hitting of Fred Johnson to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bobcats on top, 5-4. For the game, Johnson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
