Generals Run Win Streak to 7

The Atlanta Generals scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Baltimore Lords at Atlantic Station Field. Atlanta pitcher Bill Davis held his own in the contest. The winning pitcher was Davis, now 3-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. The Generals, now 13-5, have hit the ground running this season.
Atlanta took a 3-2 lead on Ed Mika's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Mika hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Baltimore pitcher Denny Boyd visibly frustrated.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Davis.
