The Boston Terriers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Vern Gould, who kept Atlanta hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Terriers win at Atlantic Station Field. The Terriers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 5th win in 19 games.

Gould pitched a complete game for Boston. The right-hander was charged with no runs on 5 hits. He struck out 4 during his 113-pitch performance.
