Habitants Lose to Dallas, 7-5
|
The Dallas Wranglers weathered a fine game by Montreal left fielder Jerry Sullivan to upend the Habitants, 7-5, at LaSalle Stadium. Sullivan was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Wranglers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 6th win in 19 games.
In the top of the fourth, Dallas left fielder Pat Simmons had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Simmons stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-1, Dallas. For the game, he was 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
