Starting pitcher Dave Wynn gave the Los Angeles Pobladores a rock-solid effort. The Peachtree City, Georgia native helped his team defeat the Seattle Emeralds, 2-0, at Puget Field. Wynn got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Dave Young finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
The Pobladores had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Los Angeles, with one out. Seattle, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Phil Soroka dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch changeup, he grounded out.
The loss puts Seattle at 11-8.
