Extra-Inning Win by Traders Over Bulls
|
The Chicago Traders defeated the Kansas City Bulls, 5-4, in 13 innings. Much of the credit belonged to shortstop Dave Lindsey, who was 2 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Traders. The win belonged to Vern Hensley in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Pat Thornton took the loss for Kansas City. The Traders improved their record to 89-74 by beating Kansas City.
The Traders got a clutch hit from third baseman Marcus White. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Traders.
"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Lindsey.
