Industrials Win, Move to Within 1 Game of League Championship Series
The Pittsburgh Industrials moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the Philadelphia Quakers on the road at Quakers Stadium by a score of 3-1. Industrials right-hander Jeff Munoz had a strong outing. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run. The win gives the Industrials a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Don Keough, who finished 2nd in the NBL in slugging percentage with .635 in 1970, had a direct impact on the outcome. Keough contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 2-1.

Keough called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Quakers Stadium in Philadelphia.
