Pittsburgh Takes 1-0 Series Lead with Walk-off Win
The Pittsburgh Industrials combined strong pitching and timely hitting to take Game 1 of the League Championship Series, 6-5, in a walk-off win over the San Diego Captains.

The Industrials got a solid performance from starter Jeff Munoz. The right-handed Munoz threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs in the win, which gave the Industrials a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

Bob Boyle was the walk-off hero for Pittsburgh. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Industrials pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Allegheny Field in Pittsburgh.
