When the stakes were high, Dennis Visco raised his game to match.

The left-handed Visco turned in a stellar performance in Game 3 of the League Championship Series, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Pittsburgh Industrials to victory. He allowed 7 hits and struck out 1. The win gave Pittsburgh a 2-1 lead over the San Diego Captains in the best-of-7 series.

Visco confounded San Diego hitters. Over 9 innings, he allowed 1 run on 7 hits.

"That's what I get paid to do," said Visco.
