The Divisional Round got off to a quiet start, with the traveling Dallas Wranglers taking a low-scoring, 2-1 win over the host Detroit Wolverines. Dallas right-hander Barry Gilmore was marvelous at Wolverine Field. The Wranglers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mike Weatherby? The Dallas shortstop had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wranglers on top, 2-1. For the game, Weatherby had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"That was a really good outing by Barry," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverine Field in Detroit.
