New York Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in DR
With starter Danny Abril leading the charge, the New York Knickerbockers defeated the Denver Burros, 3-1, in Game 3 of the Divisional Round. The right-hander threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run at Knickerbocker Stadium to help New York take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Dwayne Lamons hit a run-scoring triple off Jeff Munoz in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Knickerbockers in front, 2-1. Lamons had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Abril.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Knickerbocker Stadium in New York.
